wont grant me access to steps

I purchased this app back in September and have loved it! It explains the steps to the problems so I can fully understand what is going on. However, tonight I tried to solve a problem using the app and it gave me the answer but when I click on "steps" it prompted me to the "upgrade" page to purchase one of the two packages??? I already purchased a month to month step plan for 19.99? Ok so I tried to repurchase it and it did not let me because I got a pop up informing me that I had already purchased the upgraded version. ????? Okay ?? I emailed their customer support but Im not too sure how effective that will be
